L&M Office Supply and Furniture was founded in 1981 with
the idea of starting a locally owned company with "the customer is
always right" approach to customer service, and guaranteed next day
delivery to provide an enjoyable and reliable method for purchasing
furniture and office products to Bay area businesses. Through a relentless
pursuit of both expansion and outstanding customer service,
L&M Office Supply and Furniture grew steadily
through the 1980's.
In the mid 1980's, the L&M Office Supply and Furniture main office and distribution center
was moved to Oldsmar, Florida, a small city centrally located between
Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco Counties. The move allowed the company to
expand service to the Brandon, Sarasota, and other outlying areas, while
providing faster delivery times and greater service to the Tri-County area.
With a growing sales force, an
expanding service area, and an experienced staff dedicated to the idea of
providing quality service to customers in the Tampa Bay area, L&M Office Supply and Furniture continued to grow throughout the
late1980's and early 1990's.
With the coming of age of computer
communications, the management at L&M Office Supply and Furniture focused on being at the forefront
in new technology. Company wide computers were introduced in the 1980's and
fax machines were introduced shortly thereafter. A nationwide delivery
service was added in the mid 1990's allowing businesses throughout the
United States to receive the outstanding customer service and prompt next
day delivery that has made L&M Office Supply and Furniture a leader in
service and satisfaction for over two decades
Presenting customers with one more
option in ordering convenience, a remote online ordering system was first
introduced in 1998 as a dial up service allowing customers to directly
access our computer system.
This system was then updated to our current online ordering system
accessed through our Internet website, LMOFFICESUPPLY.COM, Now
anyone, anywhere in the world can experience our unique dedication to
customer service, product quality, and next day delivery.
In 1999, L&M Office Supply and Furniture was awarded the Oldsmar Chamber of Commerce,
and the Pinellas County Chamber of Commerce, Large Business of the Year
Award for outstanding dedication to customer service. In 2001, L&M Office Supply and Furniture was honored to receive the
prestigious Tampa Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award presented
by film star James Earl Jones.
In 2003, L&M
Office Supply and Furniture became a Certified Minority Business Enterprise as a Women
Owned Business.
As always, our focus is on customer
